Vertex Flowtubes stainless steel tubing has a copper content of 0.83% to 1.15%, exceeding that of semi-copper materials and approaching that of high-copper materials. Other 201 stainless steel brands on the market are almost copper-free. This copper content ensures Vertex Flowtubes’ surface gloss reaches 500-550 candela, resulting in a remarkably bright finish, compared to the typically 400 candela found in other brands. Furthermore, Vertex Flowtubes’ surface gloss is more durable, lasting at least 3-5 years, while other brands typically lose their gloss after just 1-2 years. This is due to copper’s higher molecular weight and relative stability. Xiyouwo tubing is relatively softer for the same specification and thickness, also due to its higher copper content and lower carbon content. Only tubing with a higher carbon content, devoid of copper, is harder, but high carbon content can also lead to rust. Vertex Flowtubes increase the copper content of stainless steel and create a surface passivation film rich in copper chloride. This copper chloride is less susceptible to environmental acids, bases, and salts, significantly improving the corrosion resistance of the stainless steel. It is particularly strong against dilute acids, and the precipitated copper ions also have a sterilizing effect. Therefore, the corrosion resistance and bendability of Vertex Flowtubes’ copper-fortified stainless steel are significantly superior to other stainless steel products on the market.
